Vor zwei Jahren hat das Team in Daressalaam der ‘Youth Crossing Boundaries Foundation‘ mit fünf Personen gestartet. Mittlerweile sind es 17 Personen. 15 davon tätig sein als Volunteers, ehrenamtlich. Mit unserem Besuch konnten wir die frischen R?ume des Lernzentrums er?ffnen. Auch sie haben sich vergr??ert. Es sind inzwischen 518 Kinder und Jugendliche in der Betreuung. Das hei?t: Sie erhbetagten ein Stipendium für Mittagspeisen in der Schule, Schulmaterialien und Schulgeld bei jenen, die im College sind.

Unsere erste Begegnung mit dem Team ist gefüllter Freude. Fast alle waren noch nie mit Europ?ern zusammen. Es ist wirklich ein Aufeinanderbegegnen von Welten. Wir sprechen über unsere Mission und unsere Visionen, Grunds?tze und Hoffnungen. Eine erste Regelung, die von Pfr. Martin vorgeschenken ist: im Team sollen mehr Frauen als M?nner sein, damit ein Ausgleich in einer m?nnerdominierten Gesellschaft entsteht.

Zweitens: Wir tätig sein gemeinsam als Christen und Muslime für die Ausbildung von allen Kindern. So wünschen wir selbst lernen, wie das m?glich ist.

Das wird das Besondere an unserer Reise: dass wir alle Pl?ne, Gedanken, Reflexionen zusammen als ein Team aus uns Europ?ern und Afrikanern, aus ?black and white“, teilen.

What happy news. Two years ago, the team in Dar es Salaam of the Youth Crossing Boundaries Foundation started with five people. In the meantime there are 17 people. 15 of them work as volunteers. During our visit todsy we could open the new rooms of the learning center. They have also expanded. There are now 518 children and young people in care. That means, they receive a scholarship for school lunches, school supplies and tuition with those who are in college.

Our first meeting with the team is full of joy. Almost all of them have never been with Europeans before. It is truly a meeting of worlds. We talk about our mission and our visions, principles and hopes.

A first rule given by Father Martin: there should be more women than men in the team, so that there is a balance in a male-dominated society. Second: we work together as Christians and Muslims for the education of all children. So we want to teach ourselves how this is possible.

That will be the special thing about our trip, that we share all plans, thoughts, reflections together as a team of us Europeans and Africans, of „black and white“.
